ABOUT LA GERMANIA

This beautiful washed Caturra is produced by Faudel Montenegro Orozco who used to work in cabuya production, a native plant of South America that carries fibres for rope making, before planting coffees. Growing under a limited space across the mountainous land of El Tambo, Colombia, the characteristic of the Caturra variety in terms of its small size, makes it easy to cultivate and manage. After the coffee is picked, they are sorted by the flotation method called balseo, where the cherries are placed in a tank that is filled with water, allowing the damaged and defective cherries to float and be removed.
